Our Project Estimation and Tracking App helps drive profitability by making Gross Margin transparent during estimation, resourcing, and project delivery. This app benefits three main business functions; Finance, Sales and Human Resources. It assists Finance in the areas of planning, budgeting and forecasting, and profitability analysis. It helps Sales in the areas of forecasting, configuration, pricing and quoting and aids Human Resources organizations with workforce planning.
There are three sequential phases to the app; estimation, staffing and timing, and review of actuals complete with an executive dashboard. The workflow begins with building up a sales opportunity using your company’s roles, rates and costs to generate proposed financials that reveal Sold-in Gross Margin. When the opportunity is won, the app converts the estimate to a project and allows for named resourcing against the proposed roles which generates a Staffed Gross Margin and the opportunity to make more profitable resource decisions. Finally, actual billings can be loaded to the app to calculate actual Gross Margin. Our app makes it possible to now track and compare Sold-in, Staffed, and Actual Gross Margin and take a combined look at opportunities and projects for an account in the Portfolio Review Dashboard.
